Our Global MedAssist Program (GMAP) is an industry unique 360 x 365 x 24/7 health security platform that assists travelers globally, often in remote, austere environments, with healthcare support. GMAP combines the Medical Operations Center (MOC) with Emergency Medicine and Cleveland Clinic specialist and subspecialist consultations, assisting travelers globally with health care support for individuals, families, family offices, and public and private organizations.

GMAP provides health security for global travelers. Health security is the proactive and reactive capabilities to respond to healthcare challenges while guiding specific issues and episodes.  MAP’s telemedicine offerings were created to remove time and distance from the traditional healthcare access model and to reduce medical-related stress and anguish for our global travelers. Our offerings are available 24/7 for individuals, families, and public and private organizations and corporations.

Through a single point of contact, global travelers have immediate access to GMAP’s Medical Operations Center, our emergency medicine physicians, and our health intel analysts. Our Emergency Medicine physicians have unique experience in austere medical environments, with the vast majority having military experience in special operations and having specific expertise regarding transport appropriateness and capabilities.  Combined with the personalized Travel Medical Kit (TMK) that contains over thirty prescribed medications commonly needed during travel, GMAP can deliver immediate medical care, one member at a time, irrespective of their location

HOW TO ENROLL

STEP 1: Select membership details (individual or couple). GMAP includes an indemnified aeromedical evacuation policy for hospital bed-to-hospital bed transfer to the hospital of your choice in the United States or Canada or a center of excellence hospital in an emergency. GMAP’s MOC will manage the coordination of all aspects of the medical evacuation, ensuring a safe, reliable, and secure transfer of care.

STEP 2: Review and accept the GMAP program terms and policy agreement.

STEP 3: Submit annual membership payment using our secure transaction portal.

STEP 4: Within 24 hours of your membership payment processing, you will be contacted electronically to schedule your virtual appointment with your assigned medical provider.  The appointment will include reviewing medical and surgical histories and medications and discussing any concerns regarding health security during travel.  The prescribing of the Travel Medical Kit will also be completed.

Travel Medical Kits are usually shipped within 7-10 days after the initial intake.

Global MedAssist Program (GMAP)

Annual Membership: $1,695 USD

  • Physician Intake:
    Our medical personnel conduct annual medical appointments with all member to ensure current health information. Through our use of Cleveland Clinic’s MyPractice Community program, our medical teams can access and follow along with your care plan at other institutions that use the EPIC system.
  • Travel Medical Kits:
    GMAP’S customized Travel Medical Kits (TMKs) are about the size of a shaving kit and include prescription and non-prescription medications and emergency medical supplies. The medications in the TMK under the direction of our GMAP Emergency Medicine physicians. TMKs may be shipped to a business or residence in the United States or Canada and are usually shipped within 7-10 days after the initial intake.
  • 24/7 Physician Care:
    One on-demand medical consult from a US board-certified emergency medicine physician to provide medical advice and prescriptions as needed. Additional consults can be purchased in advance for $XXX.
  • Aeromedical Evacuation:*
    GMAP provides indemnified international air ambulance medical transportation to a patient’s hospital of choice, coordinating all aspects of the medical evacuation and ensuring a safe, reliable, and secure transfer of care when deemed medically appropriate by our Medical Operations Center Emergency Medicine physicians. For some members over 75 years old, their aeromedical evacuation program can be subject to a small additional charge.
  • Cleveland Clinic Specialists: Access to Cleveland Clinic board-certified specialists and sub-specialists is available and billable at $2,000 or as quoted for complex medical cases requiring prolonged involvement through the Medical Operations Center Emergency Medicine physician.
